Sustainable development of the economy in the conditions of the energy crisisi

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the factors influencing the energy crisis on the formation of a sustainable economy and to recommend a methodology for forecasting the balance of energy production and consumption. The level of correlation between indicators of sustainable development and energy indicators is determined. It has been established that, in addition to the global factors of the energy crisis, national economies have their own factors influencing the pace of achieving the SDGs. The main reasons for the gap between energy production and consumption and the trends of import substitution in energy are indicated. The existence of direct and reverse effects of energy development and sustainable development has been proven. It has been established that the solution to the problem of sustainable economic development is the systematic provision of a dynamic balance of production and consumption of energy resources, import substitution of energy resources. The reasons for the decrease in the level of relevance of the predictive energy plan, necessary for achieving the Central Development Goals, have been determined. There is a significant level of correlation between the Mtoe indicator and the groups of SDG indicators and the fact that the relative variation indicator for the average Mtoe is an integral indicator of the achievement of the SDGs. The MCDA method and a quantitative approach to its implementation are proposed for forecasting energy consumption and modeling sustainable development scenarios.
