Abstract

The Ukrainian network community is not defined by the criterion of a language, but by geolocal and technological factors. It is important that modern Ukrainian social and cultural identity has derived from the Ukrainian heritage of the soviet period. Open communication lines establish the basis of the modern post-industrial civilization. At the access point to the network a social subject turns into a user. The dialogue in the communicative process is the interpenetration of established kinds of identity. The identity in a communication act is a synthesis of discursive concepts and intuitive images. The identity of a user has a double status of a spectator and of a participant of a communication act. Attributive meanings of the Ukrainian social and cultural identity are not interpreted by the category of a language. The Ukrainian network community is not defined by the criterion of a language, but by geolocal and technological factors. It is important that modern Ukrainian social and cultural identity has derived from the Ukrainian heritage of the soviet period. But this total antithetic introspective soviet Ukrainian oneness, which was subjected to the external contextual factors that expressed the transitivity of the political situation and the inconstancy of ideological preferences, is not adequate to the demands of today’s reality. Functional meanings of the Ukrainian network community, which realizes social subjectivity in open communication lines, consist in that it is able to transform the ideological political antithetic introspective identity into the social cultural extroversive identity of a social subject who associates himself or herself with "Ukrainian" in a process of open communication.
