Paradoxes and resilience of food policy: cognitive–rational strategies of global governance

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the cognitive-rational strategies of global governance for managing foodpolicy paradoxes and to substantiate the theoretical foundations for integrating instrumental and communicative rationality in the field of food security. The study proceeds from the idea that the contemporary food system functions asa complex adaptive network in which contradictions are not anomalies but structural features of the interaction betweeneconomic, political, and cognitive factors.
